About Our Sunday School Program

Our comprehensive online Sunday school program is specifically designed to instill positive character traits in our students, based on core Islamic values in the light of Quran and sunnah. We aim to cultivate critical thinking in our students and teach them how to objectively explore and understand religion, so that they can confidently become religious and community leaders of tomorrow.

Our program is divided into three stages, each with it’s own theme. Each theme is carefully selected with child’s age group in mind, and how children of that age group view and interact with the world. Character Building and Purification of the Self (Tazkiya) is a common theme that applies to all levels across the board.

Google Classroom is an online portal where students and teachers interact. Also it is where students hold discussions, and teachers assign work to students. If need be, students can privately email teachers in Google Classroom as well.

For the live format, no student is allowed to attend a course with an advertised age group higher than the student’s age. There’s no age restriction for our courses offered in audit format.

For details please watch our orientation videos.

For the live format, a student older than a course’s advertised age group might be accommodated on space availability basis during the last 5 days of open enrollment and into the late registration period. There’s no age restriction for our courses offered in audit format.

For details please watch our orientation videos.

Live format is the regular format in which a student attends an online class at a specified time every week. In audit format, a student watches recordings of live classes at their own pace without any direct teacher interaction. All the same course material, assignments, and tests are shared with audit students, however, the teacher doesn’t grade any work. Please watch this video to learn more.

We use Google Classroom for posting meeting links, reminders, class slides, video recordings, and any other student related communication such as grades and announcements.

When you register for a course a Google Classroom invite is sent out to the student email address that you provided during registration. It is very important that you accept the Google Classroom invite immediately. If for some reason you do not receive the invite in the 30 minutes after registration, please login to your account, ensure that you have provided correct email address, and resend yourself the invite.

If you did not receive your Google Classroom invite, please make sure that you have notifications turned on in your Google Classroom settings. Please also make sure that you provided the correct student email address. You can login to your account and update your email address, as well as try to resend yourself the invite.

If you see a an error when accepting the Google Classroom invite, it is generally because your browser is logged into Google using a different email address. Please open this link in a private/incognito window in your browser then login to Google with the student email address that you provided during  your registration.

Most of our classes fill up very quickly. If the class that you want to register for is already full, please sign up for the waiting list, if one is available. You may also still be able to register for the same course in the audit format if one is offered for your desired course.
