Marriage Agreement (نکاح کی شرائط)
Nikkah is a covenant of lasting companionship between a man and a woman, made through public offer and acceptance. It is concluded in the presence of people, after a reminder and words of counsel from a responsible person on the occasion, with full care and seriousness. This covenant is founded on love, trust and responsibility. The Shariah grants both parties the right to settle, by mutual consent at the very outset of this relationship, certain matters relating to the important practical, financial, and social aspects of their married life, so that the likelihood of any misunderstanding or dispute later on is reduced.
The following document outlines essential areas for mutual agreement or disagreement before marriage. Couples may add further conditions as per their needs and mutual understanding.
